Italian Meatloaf Cupcakes

Hey Strangers! Life has been pretty busy. How have you all been?

Just popping in with a quick and cute recipe for Italian Meatloaf Cupcakes!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup of pasta sauce.
  • 3/4 cup of Italian Bread Crumbs.
  • 1 egg.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced onion.
  • 1/2 a small green pepper.
  • 1 lb of ground meat.

What You Do:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.  (the half a teaspoon of garlic powder and minced onions are estimates, use as much or as little as you’d like!)
  3. Use cooking spray to grease up a muffin pan.
  4. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until cooked.

Extra!

  • While waiting for your meatloaf cupcakes to cook, whip up a batch of mashed potatoes. (I opted to take the easy way out and use Betty Crocker instant potatoes in four cheddar).
  • Use the potatoes as “icing” on your meatloaf cupcakes.
  • Use small pieces of bacon as “sprinkles”.

Enjoy!

The Can’t Cook Cook Book: Recipes for the Absolutely Terrified: This cookbook contains over 100 different recipes that are easy to make. Recipes include meals, appetizers, desserts and more. Everything looks great and easy to make. I’d like to think I can cook, but an easy to follow cookbook can always come in handy!

NYX Liquid Liner and Smokey Shadow Palette: I received a brown liquid liner (which is perfect cause mine is almost empty) and a smokey eye shadow palette. Personally, I can never have enough eye shadow and this palette is the perfect size with great colors. It’s compact and perfect for travel. I just recently became a fan of NYX and cannot wait to give these products a try!

Gorjana Charity Bali Bead Bracelet: I have a few Gorjana bracelets and really like them!  This is perfect for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Julep for Popsugar Duo: I love Julep nail polishes. They have great colors and are very long lasting. This duo includes a color and a top coat! It’s a deep maroon color, perfect for fall!

Jane Tran Bobby Pins: These are really unique bobby pins, almost more like a hair clip. However, these will be perfect for pulling back bangs or keeping those little pieces from falling out when my hair is in a ponytail.

The Wet Brush: The bristles of this brush are designed to make detangling easy. I am beyond excited to try this. I feel like I yank hair out everytime I brush my hair after a shower! Ouch!

The Crispery Halloween Crispycake: A giant rice crispy treat! Enough said!

$20 Stitchfix Gift Card: Stitchfix is a monthly subscription service that sends you 5 articles of clothing each month that are hand selected for you by a stylist. There is a $20 styling fee, but that fee can be applied to the purchase of any of the items in your box. You can return all of the items if you don’t like them or buy as many as you like. I’m excited to try this! With a $20 gift card I feel like I have nothing to lose!

Hello, Shopping Problem

Happy Sunday!

What fun, relaxing ways are you planning on spending your Sunday?

Me? I’m heading to Seven Springs for Autumn Fest. It’s chili and chocolate weekend, can’t go wrong with those in my opinion. Hopefully the weather clears up some and it stays dry! It’s also the perfect weekend to enjoy some fall foliage. What are your favorite ways to spend a fall afternoon.

Does anyone else have as much of a shopping problem as I do? I am an extreme bargain hunter and like to get nice things for as cheaply as possible! It’s almost like a game, how cheap can I get really nice stuff? A lot of times really cheap. There are certain items I will splurge on, but otherwise I like to keep things at a low cost. My splurge items are generally jeans, boots and longchamp bags.

However, when it comes to tops, dresses, jewelry, other purses, scarves and accessories, I like to get things cheap. This was if they go out of style or I simply decide I don’t like them, I don’t feel as bad.

Yesterday evening, I discovered Daily Look, I am in love with this site already. Right now, they are having an amazing Columbus Day sale. I was able to get a button down blouse with gold detailing for $5.95 and a beautiful scarf to go with it for $6.95, can’t beat those prices!

What are your splurge items? What types of items do you like to get a good deal on?

Gotta Watch Out for Pot Holes.

Hey guys! Long time no see…or write I guess! I’ve been a busy girl.

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

1. Pulled Pork Pancakes….sounds odd, but it’s delicious!

2. Pirates Playoff Games. Yes, the Pirates may be out of the playoffs now. However, I am beyond thrilled with the buccos this year. They played six playoff games and did great. The season may be over, but these guys worked so hard and I am so happy to say I’ve been a pirates fan since before they were good!

3. Running a 6.6k. This did not go as planned, but it was still a lot of fun. I ran one leg into a pot hole at about the 1 mile marker and had a very sore knee the remainder of the way. However, this was the longest race I’ve completed and it was thrilling. So exciting, that I am actively working to put together a relay team for the marathon!

What have you been up to lately?

Mini Lush Haul

A few weeks ago I went into Lush for the first time. During that trip I picked up only one item – a fresh face mask called Cupcake which is designed to help with oily skin. I instantly fell in love with the product. It was fresh, smelt great…had cocoa in it it has to smell great! I immediately jumped on my computer and on to YouTube to check out what others were saying about various Lush products. Personally, the first time I went into the store I found it overwhelming and didn’t know what to look at first. (although the sales associates are extremely helpful especially if you go at a time when the mall tends to be quieter — not on the weekend!)

Yesterday, I headed to Macy’s (some Macy’s have a Lush in them). It’s comparable in size to the regular store and carries all of the same products. This store is pretty close to my work and I had some time to kill before happy hour.

Here’s what I got:

Pink Bath Bomb. This item smells amazing. It smells like vanilla and candy and is so girly! I haven’t tried it yet, but from what I understand this item can be broken into 3s or 4s and used for multiple baths.

Bubblegum Lip Scrub. I saw this item in a YouTube video and knew I had to have it. It’s a lip scrub that tastes like bubble gum. You simply lick your lips, use a finger to scrub on some of the lip scrub and lick it off. Edible, yummy and makes your lips so soft!

Colour Supplement in Jackie Oates. Lately, I have been all about organic and natural face products. I’ve gotten into a great skin routine and i’m really hoping to stick with it.  This provides not quite the coverage of a foundation but is not as sheer as a tinted moisturizer. For me, it’s all the coverage I need aside from some concealer (Lush should try making concealer in my opinion). It feels great and looks unbelievably natural.

I Love Juicy Shampoo. This shampoo smells great and leaves your hair soft, not oily and volumized. I’ve only used it once, but am loving it so far!

The other really cool thing about Lush is that the sales associates are so helpful and are more than willing to give you some samples. In fact, they offered to provide me samples of products that work great with the shampoo I purchased. Here’s what I got as far as samples:

Happy Happy Joy Joy Conditioner. This conditioner is light weight and worked great with the I Love Juicy shampoo I purchased. Will definitely consider buying this!

Roots Hair Treatment. The guy who helped me at Lush asked what kind of hair I had. My answer was damaged and I’m trying to grow the bleach out. He instantly reached for this product and told me it would help with breakage. I haven’ t tried it yet, but am very excited to give it a try.

What are your favorite Lush products? What products do you want to try?
